Policy
Source and editorial policy
The rules every article on this site is held to.
Evidence first
Every factual claim in an article must be supported by a public source. Where the sources stop, the article says what the evidence does not show instead of filling the gap with guesses.
How citations work
Claims carry small numbered markers that link to the Sources list at the end of the article. Sources are numbered in the order they are first cited. Each entry names the publisher and title, the source's own publication date when it is known, and the date the source was retrieved.
A copy of each source is stored with a checksum when it is retrieved, so the cited text can be checked later even if the original page changes. Links to external sources open in a new tab and are marked nofollow.
No invented experience
Articles do not claim personal experience, hands-on testing, benchmarks, or interviews that did not happen. There are no fabricated quotes, testimonials, statistics, or author credentials.
AI-assisted production and review gates
Drafts are written with AI assistance. Each draft goes through three reviews:
- Fact check: claims are checked against the sources they cite. An article is never published unless its fact check has passed.
- SEO review: structure, headings, and page metadata are checked.
- Editorial review: clarity, framing, and house style are checked.
A person then reviews each article and its review results and approves it before it is published.
Dates
Each article shows the date it was published. Each source shows its own publication date when it is known, and the date it was retrieved.
Corrections
When an error is found in a published article, the article is corrected and the correction is noted on the page with its date.
